Joel Adam Carr

Joel is married to Brigitta and they have a son, Taishan.
Joel and Brigitta are passionate -- rock climbers.

Joel and Brigitta took the lead in the family angel child competition (see Nathan)
by having the first grandchild, Taishan
Nathan and Lori caught up by having the second grandchild, Ethan.
Currently Nate and Lori claim to have taken the lead by declaring
their greyhound, Porsche, to be an official member of the Carr family.
However, Joel and Brigitta note that Porsche is likely
to sleep through any race and have hinted at plan B.

Joel just graduated from Pacific University receiving highest honors.
He is now certified to teach mathematics and science in middle and high school.
He has a M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia.
His thesis was on hydrology and sedimentation and broke new
ground in modeling.
Previously Joel earned bachelor degrees in both
Mathematics and Environmental Science at UVA.

Joel is really really good at climbing and at juggling
skills are quite amazing and entertaining.
Once he juggled in a commericial.
Tai at 1 1/2 knows the names and arm positions
for several juggling patterns, such Mill's Mess.
Soon he will be surpassing his Grandpa.
Grandpa's plan is to keep ahead in chess for a while
and sumo wrestling for a long time

Joel used to play the violin, the guitar, and composed
some music on a synthesizer.
Joel enjoyed mountain biking, and volleyball when the
opportunities arose. He has been part of a search and
rescue team. He has learned to ride a unicycle and sometimes
goes on mountain trails. Imagining this is scary.
