Linda J. Davis
Dr. Linda J. Davis earned a B.S. degree in mathematics and physics from
George Mason University in 1979 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics
from Rutgers University in 1981 and 1983 respectively. From 1983 to 1985,
she was as a National Science Foundation Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral
Research Fellow at Stanford University. Since 1985, she has been employed
by the Systems Integration Group at TRW as a Senior Member of the Technical
Staff. Since 1989, she has been an Adjunct Professor at George Mason.
At TRW, her assignments have included development and maintenance of signal
processing workstations and extensive analyses of multidimensional signals.
Her major research interests, outside those at TRW, concern contingency
table analysis and logistic regression, load balancing in parallel
computing, and the use of statistics for intrusion detection on large,
multi-user computer systems. She served as an Associate Editor for
the Annals of Statistics from 1989 to 1991.
