Though now "retired," I cannot forget (as I sometimes wish I could!) certain research problems with which I have struggled long and hard, at different times, without success. I shall begin by discussing the Quasi-Poisson process, which is a curious special kind of renewal process. I shall describe what I know and have proved about them; then I shall describe the difficulty of obtaining a "canonical" characterization of them. Depending on time available I shall then discuss a problem related to "factorizing" a uniform discrete distribution and then, possibly, a limit theorem on the product of iid random matrices.
