ABSTRACT

This talk will detail some of my groups latest efforts in the identification of serendipitous relationships among disparate document collections. The identification of these sorts of associations has been labeled different things by various researchers throughout the history of the field. It has been know at times as literature-based discovery and recently referred to as automated serendipity. The talk will illustrate some of the ideas that we are currently investigating as part of our continuing efforts to identify and investigate such associations.
