ABSTRACT

MARS (Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines) allows statisticians to build good multiple regression models in situations where traditional approaches may be very difficut due to nonlinearities, complex interactions, and a large number of variables. This talk will be a detailed description of how the MARS software creates regression models, and if time permits the software will be demonstrated.
