This talk will detail some of my recent work in the area of document clustering. Extensions of the work of Dhillon 2001 will be presented during the talk. The extension formulates a recursive version of his bipartite bipartition algorithm. This methodology serves as an alternative to his bipartite multipartition algorithm. This method allows for the simultaneous clustering of documents and words. Preliminary results obtained using a collection of Science News articles and a collection of Office of Naval Research In-house Laboratory Independent Research (ILIR) abstracts will be presented. This work is being jointly conducted with Avory Bryant of the NSWCDD and Edward J. Wegman of GMU.
