The Center logo was designed by Avrim Katzman using Adobe Illustrator on a Macintosh. The version displayed here was implemented by Qiang Luo on a Silicon Graphics workstation using SGI tools. The orginal version used a gray scale gradient fill, while Qiang's version uses a color fill. The logo is constructed with two interlocking C's which together form an S. These are the initials of the Center, CCS, the Center for Computational Statistics.
