At peak, I had some 160 rose plants and exhibited roses in many competitions. My main rose bed was 60 feet long, 5 feet wide and was dug down 2 feet. The bed was a raised bed and was augmented with 10 cubic yards of sand and 5 cubic yards of peat moss. This bed was located in my North Carolina home .
